(AUSTIN, TEXAS) The Board of Directors of the Mueller Foundation, the Austin-based nonprofit which stewards the Mueller Affordable Homes Program, recently hired Robin Lafleur to lead the organization effective March 31, 2025.
Lafleur, 44, is the former Vice President of Homebase Texas which is a sister organization to Austin Habitat for Humanity and administers the Mueller Foundation’s home resales. A native Austinite, Lafleur has over 15 years of experience in the affordable housing and real estate fields.
“Robin is the ideal fit as our new Executive Director,” said Mueller Foundation board chair Jim Walker. “She is a seasoned real-estate professional who has spent nearly two decades helping hundreds of low to moderate-income Austin families purchase affordable homes throughout Central Texas.”
Lafleur says she is committed to the Mueller Foundation’s mission which is helping qualified families and individuals purchase homes in the Mueller neighborhood and working to preserve the 25 percent of housing for rent or sale in the community for those that are priced out of the Austin housing market.
“I am incredibly honored to join the Mueller Foundation and continue my work helping individuals and families from diverse backgrounds achieve the American dream of homeownership,” said Lafleur, who will replace longtime Austin affordable housing leader and Mueller Foundation executive director Frances Ferguson. “I know I have some impressive and experienced shoes to fill, and I am delighted that Frances will remain on as part-time senior advisor.”
About Mueller Foundation
The Mueller Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable entity, founded by Catellus, the master developer for the Mueller Airport Redevelopment project. Our roots trace back to the dedicated citizens and neighbors who, for nearly 25 years, envisioned an equity-driven, vibrant mixed-use urban village at the site of Austin’s former airport. This community-led vision shaped the core goals of the Mueller project, culminating in the award-winning master plan that defines our neighborhood today. The Mueller Foundation strives to support innovative approaches that create even more social and community benefits, setting a high standard for the region and the nation.
