When people ask what makes the Mueller community unique, we often point to one key difference: it combines affordable and market-rate homes in a way that most planned communities don’t. The Mueller Foundation is the secret sauce — making this vision a reality, as steward of the 685 homes in the affordable home ownership program.
Mueller integrates affordable housing throughout the neighborhood. You would be hard pressed when driving or walking in the Mueller community to distinguish the difference. Everyone, regardless of income, has access to the same parks, pools, schools, trails, shops, and eateries. This kind of blended design is still rare, even in cities that strive for equity. And while it makes a meaningful difference in people’s lives, it also works from a market perspective; home values throughout Mueller have remained strong, proving that inclusive planning and economic stability can go hand in hand.
